Cameron Hamilton is used to getting what he wants, especially when it comes to women. But when Avery Morgansten comes crashing into his life – literally – he finally meets the one person who can resist his soulful baby blues. But Cam’s not ready to give up. He can’t get the feisty and intriguing girl out of his head.

Avery has secrets, secrets that keep her from admitting the feelings Cam knows she has for him. Will persistence (and some delicious homemade cookies) help him break down her barriers and gain her trust? Or will he be shut out of Avery's life, losing his first real shot at the kind of love that lasts forever?

~Review~

Wait for You was the first new adult book I read and it instantly hooked me to the genre. In fact, if you regularly check my reviews, you’ve probably noticed that at least 80% of the books I read are in this genre. What can I say? I’ve been just been chasing NA men looking for someone who measures up to Cam.

If you’ve read Wait for You, you know the story and you know how incredibly amazing Cam is and how he cares for and opens Avery up. Seeing the story from his POV was incredible because there are so many pivotal moments in Wait for You that you need to know what is going through Cam’s mind at the time. He knows something terrible has happened to Avery and he has his suspicions on what it might be but he hopes he is wrong. Avery won’t open up to him and he really struggles with this because he needs her to trust him. In Trust in Me, we really see how Avery’s denial affects Cam. During there separation, he seems indifferent in Avery’s eyes, but the truth is, Cam is torn apart. Knowing this made me fall even harder for him.

Cam has his own demons that he is fighting and regrets that haunt him every day. He is a fiercely loyal brother and friend and I adore this about him. He put himself out there to protect his sister and while he wishes he would have handled the situation differently, he doesn’t regret it because he was protecting Teresa and that shows what an amazing brother he is. He exhibits this protectiveness with Avery too and I loved getting into his head and seeing how much she affected him and the way his feelings evolved for her. It was obvious that he saw something special in her and he fell hard before he even realized it was happening.

We also get to see a lot more of Ollie and Jace in this book since they are Cam’s closest friends. Ollie is hilarious and while he comes across as a major playboy, I think there is a lot more to him than meets the eye and I’m wondering if he and Brittany will get their own story. I also really liked the little bit of insight we get into Jace and the insinuation of issues Jace faces is almost a prelude into what we will discover in Be With Me. I also really enjoyed the interactions between Cam and his parents, especially his Dad. They have a few nice heart to hearts and it shows how much he respects and cares for his parents. Another excellent quality that solidifies Cam’s swoon-worthiness.

Overall, Trust In Me was a great alternate POV novel. I liked that it wasn’t just a replicate re-telling of Wait for You, only in Cam’s POV. There were scenes between Cam and his friends and family that didn’t exist in Wait for You and that added an additional element to make this book it’s own story.
