~Synopsis~
It’s London’s senior year and she only needs one class to graduate. She just didn’t expect her final assignment: fall in love.

Communication 224 has a reputation for giving out the most unique projects of the semester. When London James and Beau Anderson signed up for the class they had no idea they would be paired up together, much less spend an entire semester working on their final grade.

Professor Garcia tasks them to produce a study on the hit reality show, Love Match, a show about strangers falling in love on over the top dates. London and Beau decide to debunk the popular show’s fantasy portrayal of romance. Determined they can date the entire semester and not fall for each other, the classmates share blogs about their dates and start a website where everyone can follow their dating experiment.

Is staying out of love as easy as it seems? Headstrong and success-driven London discovers there might be more important things in life than an A.

~Review~

I absolutely adored this book and loved every minute of it. It has such a fun and unique plot but it was also sweet, romantic and emotional. The chemistry between London and Beau was beautifully written and their journey of love was full of both tender and heartbreaking moments.

London is a senior in college and one class away from her dream of moving to California to pursue an acting career. I liked her and how motivated and hardworking she was. She is also a loyal and caring friend and I felt like that said a lot about her character. She is confidant and self-assured so her constant fumbling around Beau was cute and funny. I liked how open Beau was with London and he definitely wore his heart and his feelings on his sleeve. London was a little less transparent and she definitely said the wrong thing a time or two to cause strife between her and Beau. It seemed like London cared more about the grade than her relationship with Beau and I could definitely see how he would interpret her actions. I felt like he gave up on them too soon but I understood that he was just trying to protect his heart because his actions didn’t match his words and actions always speak louder.

This was one of the more fun plots that I have encountered in a while and it is half the reason I loved this book so much. The idea that they have to disprove that you can fall in love by going on dates similar to Love Match (a bachelor type show). The dates they went on were so fun and entertaining and it’s easy to see how they could fall for each other, even when they’re trying to prove it’s not possible. The turning point in their relationship was so romantic and I definitely fell for Beau in that moment. I loved that he cared about London more than anything, including his grade on the project. I know London felt the same but sometimes it takes losing something to make you realize what you really want. She so was so sure about her path and what and where she wanted to go but meeting Beau made her question everything. Realizing how much she cared about him, I loved watching her win him back.

Seriously, this book was a much needed breath of fresh air in the contemporary category and I needed that. The writing was really fantastic and the plot flowed so well. The characters were developed well and I definitely had an emotional attachment to them. The moments of passion between Beau and London were so tender and sweet and I really liked that. I also really liked London’s roommate and best friend, Nina, and I’m hoping her and Andrew might get their own story.
