This week's question is:
We are about to see a lot of posts & tweets about reader conventions. RT, BEA, ALA and many more are starting soon. Which one would you love to attend? Where and why?
This is my first year in book blogging and I am still getting familiar with all of the amazing opportunities out there for book bloggers to connect with each other and authors. I live in Seattle, WA so for my first year, I would love to find a convention on the west coast to check out. This way I could save my money and go to a bigger one next year. Any suggestions for book conventions on the west coast?
I don't live near any book conventions so I have that working against me but I'm hoping to go to BEA next year when I have more money and a good solid plan! I'm also a relatively new blogger so I haven't gone to any book events but I would love that to change :) Great FF! I hope you find a convention in your area!!

I agree, I would love to go to BEA next year too. Saving for it is my plan too! :-)
DeleteI know there's Get Lit at the Beach: A Gathering for Readers and that's in Cannon Beach. There's also the the Seattle antiquarian book fair. Oh and Portland has Wordstock. Then there's the big LA times book fair being held on the USC campus. It's free admission.

Oh no! You missed ALA-MW which was in Seattle in January. Annual will be in Vegas next year, which is closer.

Oh Shoot! I started blogging in Feb so I wasn't up on all the awesome events yet :-) Vegas is definitely close enough for next year. Thank you!
DeleteI don't know any book events, so I can't help with your question.

I know, it is tough when you live so far from all of the big ones.I am hoping to go to a few closer to me that I recently discovered.
DeleteI would love to attend any of them. Since I live in Sweden it´s kind of hard though =)
