Saturday @ Starbucks #5: Leading Ladies and a Caramel Apple Spice

Saturday @ Starbucks is a weekly feature hosted by Starbucks & Books Obsession.

To join in, just re-post the topic and  link back to the host. Grab a cup of coffee, tea or hot chocolate and do a post on the topic.

This week's topic is:
Favorite Leading Ladies and a Caramel Apple Spice

Drink of the week: Caramel Apple Spice
Caramel apple spice is a delicious drink for a cool spring day when you are not in the mood for coffee. I usually get mine with only half the caramel so it isn't so sweet. If you like apple cider, you will love this drink.

Favorite Leading Ladies

Tris (Divergent by Veronica Roth): I love Tris! From the moment she entered the Dauntless compound, I loved the strength and ability to adapt and still be the person she was.

Ari (Gravity by Melissa West): Ari is awesome! She is a super kickass fighter and she doesn't back down. She fights for what she wants and what is right, no matter how many obstacles are in her way.

Katy (Lux Series by Jennifer Armentrout): Katy is the stubborn and hard headed. She doesn't take Daemon's crap and she knows how to handle herself in any situation.

Maggie (Guardian Series by Laury Falter): Maggie is bad ass. She doesn't care what anyone thinks about her and she will do anything to protect the ones she love, especially Eran.

Emerson (Hourglass by Myra McEntire): I just finished this book but I immediately liked Emerson. She is sarcastic, bold and rebellious. She never does what she is told and refuses to back down.

  1. I agree, Ari is definitely a kick-ass mc, and I love how she didn't need the love interest to always rescue her. :)

    1. Thanks Jessica! We always talk about our book boyfriends but I thought it would be fun to spotlight some leading ladies. Emerson was instantly one of my favorites!

  3. So refreshing to talk about the leading ladies for a while even if we do hate them for stealing our fictional crushes hearts! Great choices, I think Tris is one of my favourite characters ever. So strong but true to herself.
