This challenge is hosted by April over at Good Books, Good Wine. It is a new, unique challenge to put some spark back into blogging. Day 4 challenge is to Discuss the last book you flung across the room.
This would be metaphorically speaking because I read mostly on an e-reader now, though there have been times when I was tempted to throw it. I think the last book that seriously frustrated me to the point of wanting to throw the book if I had been holding a paperback copy would be In Too Deep by Michelle Kemper Brownlow.
I actually loved this book and gave it a 5 star rating. However, it was so emotionally torturous and the way that Gracie kept going back to Noah, even after the way he treated her, made me want to throw the book and pull out my hair. I seriously got permanent heart palpitations from this book which is a testament to the author because she really got under my skin and into my heart with this one.
Here is the link to my review if you want to check it out.

You got me worried, there, because I have this book on my TBR and the books I tend to want to throw across the room aren't the ones I love :)
ReplyDeleteBut I totally get the under the skin and into the heart - those are the books I love the most, even if they make me cry.
Oh yes! Me too! I loved this book, but I was emotionally distressed while reading it!
ReplyDeleteThis was a really good book but very intense and emotional. I definitely recommend it though. :-)
ReplyDeleteI know right? I loved this book but have never been so distressed while reading before.
ReplyDeleteI all but needed therapy after this book!
ReplyDeleteMe too!!
