This week's question:
Activity! Hopefully warm weather for most of us is here soon... so tell us about your favorite outdoor reading spot. Or take a picture.
I love reading outside in the summertime. Living in Seattle, that is the only time I get the chance to see the sunlight. I enjoy sitting on my back porch in my lounge chair with the sun shining down. I could sit there for hours and read (and probably obtain a terrible sunburn).
What is yours?
If I'm ever reading outside, I'm reading on my back porch too! Love the name of your blog: Starbucks + Books = Perfection! New GFC Follower :)

Thanks! You are right, that is total perfection :-)
DeleteThanks for stopping by my blog! And hello to a fellow Seattleite! :D I have definitely gotten sunburned by reading too long outside - even when it's sunny, our cooler temperatures fool you into a false sense of security, and then you eventually go back inside all warm and happy... and red... and realize you should've put on sunblock, lol.

Nikki @ There were books involved...
The cooler temps and tricky clouds totally lead to sunburns. The pale skin from the lack of year round sun doesn't help either :-) Thanks for following!
DeleteThanks for stopping by! I wish I had a back porch to read on instead of walking for half an hour to get to mine. Following back!
ReplyDeleteIt is nice to have but I wouldn't mind the walk if the weather is nice :-) Thanks for stopping by and following!
DeleteI also live in WA, but can't handle any sun, but do love the cloudy days, i used to go to the lake and read, when I could handle some sun in the summer. :) I have a pic posted if you want to come by. :)
ReplyDeleteMy FF Post
I crave the sun like a vampire craves blood :-) At least we can have warm temps with the clouds her in WA so you can still read outside :-) Thanks for stopping by!
DeleteGreat blog name! The sun is brutal in the summer where I live, so if I'm going outdoors, it's either before the sun is fully out or after it's started going down.
ReplyDeleteNew GFC follower. Our FF
I dream of brutal sun days :-) I am sure if I lived somewhere different, I wouldn't feel the same. Reading at sunrise or sunset sounds nice too though. Thanks for stopping by!
DeleteHi from a new follower
ReplyDeleteGlad that you like reading outside with the sun shinning down. I cannot stand the heat (mid 70 is find but above it I feel like I am on fire) so my favorite spot is in my room =)

Thanks Amie! I totally understand about heat. Fortunately, Seattle doesn't get too hot, even when the sun shines. :-)

DeleteI love the sun! But unfortunately, I can't stay out too long because the weather in the Philippines is way too hot!! Haha! :D

Thanks Alise! Porch reading is really nice. It doesn't get much higher than 80 here in Seattle.
DeleteThanks for following back! :-)
ReplyDeleteOoh, Seattle! Another place on my to visit list! I wish I had a porch or deck to sit out on, but alas I don't. Maybe someday!

Hi Jessica! Visit in the summertime. It is truly gorgeous here in August and hardly rains at that time. :-)

If you love the rain, you would love Seattle! It can get old after a while but sometimes it is nice to sit on the couch with a coffee, a book and listen to the rain, especially in spring or a summer storm. Thanks for stopping by!
DeleteI definitely want to visit Seattle; seems like a great city :)
ReplyDeleteLove your pic above btw!
New Follower! http://www.fortheloveoffilmandnovels.com/2013/03/feature-follow-17.html
It is really nice in the summer, not too hot or cold and very pretty. Thanks for stopping by :-)
DeleteOoh do use loads of sunscreen! It'd be horribly uncomfortable to read with a sunburn :/ .
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my FF! Following you back via GFC!
Sunscreen is definitely a must :-) Thanks for stopping by!
